What in the world...

...has been happening at the Jacobsen home? Well, I am not sure, but whatever it is it has kept me too busy to update my journal (blog). I have so many things running through my head that I want to get recorded, but that is where they have stayed. Summer vacation?? Hmmm. I am wondering about the vacation part. I am ready earlier in the morning now that I was during the school year. My perfect planning for activities to not start until later in the morning was ruined the first day of activities. Can we move tennis up to 9:00? What am I supposed to say? No, we are so important that you should cater to us and forget about the other ten kids. Can you move Megan up to the next gymnastics class? She has done this one quite a few times and should move out of beginners. No, I want her to be bored! Needless to say, I am thankful that I have friends and my mom with children in a few of the activities so we can swap dropping and picking up. It is also nice that the little girls can be in their jammies for a some of the drop offs. I am so glad the kids love to be involved in the activities. It is fun to watch them learn and grow!

The daytime activities are great, but it do have to admit that I look forward to June being over. No, I don't want summer to go by fast, but our life is dominated by baseball games and practice in the evenings. Sometimes we get Friday nights off. I love baseball. I grew up with baseball as our life between my dad and softball and my brothers and baseball. I love watching the boys play too! But, it will be nice when we can stay home for a few evenings a week and just enjoy our nice backyard or the park or just playing games or watching a movie together.

I am so thankful to have the energy (or kind of) to keep up with the kids. I fall into bed exhausted each night and drag myself out each morning, but at least I can that. I don't accomplish more than just surviving but surviving is good. They are only little once. Housework is always there, so we fit it in here and there. It gets done, just not all at the same time.

I have so many pictures to post and write about. I hope to be able to slowly get that done by the end of the weekend. I have to get them off the camera first. Ashlee is changing so much. She is now six months old. She doesn't sit very well by herself, but she started scooting and crawling today. Crazy girl!! She hates to sit. She wants to be on the move. I don't know where she would get that from! :) She loves to be where her siblings are and they are pretty good about letting her play in their rooms by them if I need to get things done. Then there is Kenna. She always keeps us busy. So with five kids, our life never slows down! I am now going to go fall into bed as I can barely keep my eyes open. Stay tuned for pics and more updates from our home.
